The Titan XD SL gets the same numbers from the same gasoline engine. But when it’s outfitted with the powerful diesel, it gets up to 555 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. This ramps its towing capacity up from the Titan’s 9,240 to 11,960 pounds, and it can handle 300 pounds more of a payload than the Titan — up to 1,920. If you need a truck that can get the job done, a diesel 2019 Titan XD is the way to go.

SIZE MATTERS

Both the Titan and the Titan XD have several cab configurations. Choose between the crew, king, and single cab to make the perfect truck for you.

With each configuration, the Titan XD is always the longer truck. No matter what kind of cab the Titan has, it stays at 228.1 inches long. The Titan is always bigger, and always different: the single cab is 231 inches long, the king cab is 231.3 inches long, and the crew cab has the largest variance with 243.6 inches. The crew cab’s bed is longer on the Titan XD, but they’re equal on the other two cabs.

The Titan XD also has a higher ride height that’s perfect for tackling the outdoors. The Titan is lighter-duty and perfect for working the city.
